Editorial Policy: How We Research and Update Guides
Trump Account Guide is run by Aaron Houston. This page explains how guides are written and kept accurate.
Where facts come from
Every fee, deadline, form number and rule must come from an official source, mainly irs.gov, trumpaccounts.gov, Treasury and the tax code (26 U.S.C. § 530A). Each guide links to the source next to the fact, so you can check it yourself. Third-party sources (news, provider pages) are only used when no official page covers the point, and they are named as such.
What we do when we can't confirm something
If a fact can't be confirmed on an official page on the day it is checked, it is either left out or labelled Unconfirmed on the page. We don't guess at fees, timelines or eligibility.
Dates
Each guide shows a Last checked date: the last day its facts were checked against the sources. Rules change, so always confirm on the official site before you pay or file.
How pages are written
Guides are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools, then checked against the linked official sources before publishing. Pages that don't add specific, sourced facts beyond our other guides are merged into a main guide instead of being published separately.
Affiliate links and money
The site is free and earns money from some affiliate links, which are labelled on the page. A company paying a commission does not change what we write, and the do-it-yourself official route is always shown first when one exists.
Not professional advice
Guides are general information, not legal, tax, financial, immigration or veterinary advice.
